Good oral health is an important aspect of overall well-being. Yet, many people in disadvantaged communities may not have easy access to dental care. Mohit Gupta Foundation took an important step towards promoting dental health by organizing a free dental check-up camp on September 24, 2022, in collaboration with Sanjeevani Dental Hospital in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
The program not only provided free dental checkups and medicines but also aimed to educate the community about the importance of dental health and hygiene.
Need for Dental Health Awareness
Access to quality dental care is often a luxury that many individuals and families cannot afford. This can lead to untreated dental problems, which can impact a person’s overall health as well as cause pain and discomfort.
Mohit Gupta Foundation recognized this issue and decided to address it with the help of dedicated professionals and volunteers.
Dental Check-up Camp Highlights
The Free Dental Check-up Camp in Baddi proved to be a remarkable initiative. Here are some of the key highlights:
Free Dental Check-ups: Free dental checkups were provided to people in the community, ensuring everyone had access to professional dental care.
Free Medicines: Apart from dental check-ups, free medicines were distributed to needy people. The move is aimed at providing immediate relief and treatment for dental diseases.
Educational Initiatives: Beyond immediate care, the camp focused on education. Dr. Bhavna Sharma, Dr. Shashi Paul, Dr. Akshay Bhardwaj, Mr. Kuldeep Singh, and Mr. Gopal Krishan, among others, played a vital role in raising awareness about dental health and hygiene. They conducted informative sessions, teaching attendees about proper dental care practices and prevention of common dental issues.
Dedicated Volunteers: Volunteers played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the event. Their dedication and hard work made the camp a success.
